Simple tricks for RHEL that are common to me.
Disable ipv6
RHEL 7
1. Append below lines in /etc/sysctl.conf:
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1 net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
Then run
sysctl -p
RHEL 5.4 has an easy way to disable ipv6. The other methods don't work when the iscsi driver is loaded. To disable:
echo "options ipv6 disable=1" > /etc/modprobe.d/disable-ipv6
